Hong Kong-based singer-songwriter-producer cehryl has a voice as dulce and mellifluous as the songs she produces and writes to. Drawing inspiration from a blend of R&B, jazz, indie pop, folk as well as electronic music, she writes dreamy, genre-fusing songs that explore the complexity of human emotion. From the strings to the production, recording, and mixing, cehryl orchestrates every part of her songs.

After studying Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music, she moved to Los Angeles where she worked in studios as an engineer whilst cultivating her own artistry. Since her first release in 2016, the intoxicating, emotive vignette Delusions, cehryl released a slew of singles and projects leading up to 2019’s acclaimed Slow Motion album. In 2021, she released four-song EP Time Machine.

She currently resides in Hong Kong, where she grew up, working closely with the tight-knit indie music community alongside bands and friends like RIDDEM as well as visual artists and filmmakers Jonny Ho, Natalie A. Chao, and others. In 2022, she produced and wrote for Hong Kong artists Janice Vidal, Pong Nan, Sophy W, Moon Tang and has been collaborating with other multidisciplinary artists in the scene.
